A Special Month!

May is a very special month for us... It's not only Sugar Bear's Birthday but we had the opportunity to form the Sugar Bear Foundation seven years ago this month in his honor. Help us celebrate both by supporting our work with Gold Star/Surviving Spouses and children. Our programs run completely on donations, grants, and fundraisers and we are incredibly grateful for all the support we receive. However, we are growing... in the number of families we are seeing throughout the United States and our program offerings. Help us to continue Sugar Bear's legacy of service while sustaining our programs and increasing our impact. Donate today and help us make a difference in honor of our hero! 

Colonel Ken "Kid" Gardiner

Continued prayers for our good friends the Gardiner Family as they recently celebrated the life of Colonel Ken "Kid" Gardiner. We were honored to attend this special memorial that celebrated the life of their incredible hero, husband, father, and friend. It was a wonderful afternoon that paid tribute to his career and life. Family and friends gathered to share great stories and memories. Although he will be missed he will never be forgotten. Thank you to all who donated on his behalf to our mission. We are most grateful. 

Thank You Cathedral Catholic High School National Honor Society!

A Big THANK YOU goes out to Cathedral Catholic High School National Honor Society for their recent ergathon fundraiser for us. It was a great success and we are so grateful for the funds they raised for our programs. Their spirit and drive will go directly to helping our families and we are incredibly grateful for these young men and women. Thank you too to the coaches and parents who helped with this event and the local Jersey Mikes who donated some awesome food. We were touched by the time and work that went into this fundraiser and the impact it will have on our work. Thank you!

We know our spouses come to us with a wide variety of backgrounds and needs, so we continue to partner with companies and organizations that can assist them with employment opportunities. We know as students are gearing up to return to the classroom the school year can bring employment opportunities, especially for our spouses. A significant part of our mission is to assist our spouses with their employment needs and our Team is busy working on some important new opportunities but we want to make sure we are best serving you. As such we invite our Registered spouses to take our latest survey.
